The 2014 NCAA Tournament Bracket and Pool Manager files are now available on the brackets page. The pool manager file includes the minimal enhancements that were introduced late last year, but for the most part this is the same file. Sorry there weren't more improvements, but at least the new teams are loaded. Enjoy March Madness!

Dave,
ReplyDeleteJust found this site and the Excel spreadsheet. Love it!!!!!!
Thx,
Jim
Thanks! Glad you're able to use it, and good luck with the tournament.
ReplyDeleteSend you an email concerning adding brackets to the pool manager. Have been using your brackets for a few years now and love them, however this year I'm having difficulty loading a bracket in to the management.
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteBeen using your Excel Bracket for a few years now! Absolutely fantastic! Just wanted to let you know, we ran into a bug when using the spreadsheet on a Mac. We were not able to click on the team to have it advance, we had to hover the cursor over a cell to find the drop down menu. We checked your directions and followed them, but couldn't figure out how to fix it. Happened on a couple different computers and I am not computer-savvy enough to try and fix. It was a minor issue, but overall very pleased! Worked excellent on PC!
Thanks again!
JJ
That's for letting me know. I'm not surprised you ran into trouble, as I've done almost no testing on Excel for Mac. If there's a Mac expert out there who wants to port this for me, I'd love to offer a Mac version too, but as of now I'm focusing just on the PC side.
ReplyDeleteLove the Excel sheet man!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your effort. On a side note, what do you do with the emails. Is there a way they can be seen on a list so we can import into our mail program?
ReplyDeleteDavid - been using your file for three years now - It's great, much appreciated and I thank you!
ReplyDeleteI do have a question - my pool has 250+ people in it. Upon importing to the Pool Manager there were 6 entries that did not pick a 'First Four' game so their Max Points do not populate. Long story short, I want to remove their bracket and reimport a single bracket with the first four populated. Perhaps due to number of entries, when I go to select from the drop down to remove a bracket the list doesn't come up. I tried to type in the Last Name, First Name (XXXX) and hit enter but that didn't work either. Thoughts?
Thanks again!
Greg
Ok, I added participant email addresses to the far right side of the leaderboard. Download version 9-1, and please let me know if you run into any problems.
ReplyDeleteNote: New version still doesn't have Duke getting out of the first round.
This is fixed in version 9-1-0. This problem happened when a participant's name had a space at the beginning of the cell. I fixed it by automatically cutting off any leading or trailing spaces on import.
ReplyDeleteWill there be an updated 2015 version of the brackets?
